Black Ram's Horn Shofar with polished finish

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Here is a large black ram’s horn Shofar. It is hand-polished and has a beautiful sheen. The polish does not affect the sound or Kashrut. It is non-scented and is certified by the Rabbinate.

Before shipping, we check again every Shofar for sound and quality. The large size Shofars, 17" and up, are used by balei tokeah, those who blow the Shofar for the congregation in the Synagogue on Rosh Hashanah.

The length is determined by measuring along the outside curve. Note: The Shofar pictured here is for illustration - color and shape vary.

One of the reasons given for blowing the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah is that it is the “birthday” of the creation of the universe.

Just as a human king is crowned with a fanfare of trumpets, so every year on the anniversary of the world, we crown G-D by blowing the Shofar and re-affirming our loyalty and allegiance.

Barsheshet-Ribak is an Israeli shofar company dating back hundreds of years, passed from father to son, who painstakingly craft the shofars with dedication and reverence for this spiritual item. Their shofars reflect unequalled beauty and quality craftsmanship recognized by shofar collectors and religious communities worldwide.
