Import from UK. Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). 12" Single. Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, and surface impressions (front/back); spot where staple was near top-left/right that goes through to back and sticker residue near top-right on front. Inner-sleeve is plastic. Spine shows wear. Shelf-wear along side-edges and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Let's Stay Together, written by Al Green and covered here by Tina Turner, was Turner's second collaboration with the British Heaven 17/B.E.F. production team after Ball of Confusion in 1982, and served as her comeback single in late 1983, charting at No. 26 on the US Hot 100. It placed No. 6 in the UK (one place higher than Al Green's original) and became the third time she reached the UK top 10, the first two being with former husband Ike Turner. Tina Turner's version also hit No. 1 on the US Dance Chart. At the time, the song was the most successful solo single she had released and it was included on her multi-platinum selling album Private Dancer, released a few months later in the spring of 1984. The music video was directed by David Mallet. The cover photography was by Norman Seeff.
