Prettily hand-painted porcelain plate celebrating mothers.  This distinctive cobalt blue 7-3/4" plate was manufactured by the Kaiser Porcelain Co. & represents the finest German underglaze porcelain.  It's of a special series, limited to an issue of 20,000 for the USA, beginning in 1970.  It has the distinctive bear & crown mark, which is found on every product produced for the Berlin Design Series.  It's the symbol of the city, Berlin, which is considered the heart of West Germany where this plate was made.  This 1973 duck family plate has the number '1' at the top of the plate on the back, marking it as the first issue in the edtion. There are two holes on the back making it easy to hang.  This plate is glossy and in perfect condition.  Unfortunately, it is not in its original box & is without documentation.  Would make a wonderful gift for Mom or Grandmother.
