(2) Two Antique Cabinet Card Photographs. Depicting Charles Asa Harris as a young boy in a studio photograph taken by Cole Studio in Barton Landing, Vermont; and in a larger family portrait taken at Christmas, 1905 when he was about 17 years old. The woman in front is most likely his mother Edna Litchfield Harris (based on a younger photo we have of her sold separately.) The other young men may include some of his brothers including Guy Lewis Harris and Ralph Harris. The larger photo was also taken by Cole Studio. The small photo measures 4.25 x 6, and the larger one measures 10 x 8. Condition: These are original photographs, not a copy or reproduction. They are in good condition. Comments: An on-line genealogy search reveals Asa Chandler Harris was born June 1, 1862 in Newport, Vermont and died November 14, 1950 in Newport at the age of 88. Asa was the son of Lewis B. Harris (1833-1862) and Alice E. Sleeper Drown (1830-1884). He was married to Edna M. Litchfield (1866-1944) on November 25, 1886. Their children included Charles Asa Harris, born circa 1888 in Vermont, married to Blanche Harris, and was living in Orleans, Vermont in the 1940 Census; Guy Lewis Harris, born July 13, 1894, married Ruth Corley (1896-1996), and died December 6, 1979 in Newport, Vermont; Ralph Harris; and Carroll Harris who died at the age of three or four and is buried in the Harris Family Plot in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Orleans, VT. There may have been other children as well. Note: We have photographs of some of these stated individuals which are being sold sold separately.
