Measures 5-7/32" X 7-5/8", 209 pp, b&w frontispiece (which has been colored in with color crayon, as has title page opposite from it), written by John Blaine (aka HAL GOODWIN), hardcover with dust jacket published 1947 by Grosset & Dunlap Publishers (NY).
Inked inscription on second page following right front endpaper reads: "To Randolph Cox with all good series wishes Hal Goodwin aka John Blaine."
Page 209 does NOT have the black bordered box, which announces the next RICK BRANT title in later editions.
The front flyleaf shows the upper price code "6565," and the lower code "110-150."
The rear flyleaf advertises the second book in the series, THE LOST CITY.
There are NO internal title listings.
The rear dustjacket promotes "Thrill-Packed AVIATION STORIES," and includes THE FLYING JET in the LUCKY TERRELL FLYING STORIES series.
A very hard-to-find edition (although not in the best possible condition), which includes a period autographed inscription from the author -- cool find!
