This listing is for a PHILCO model 46-1201 "BING CROSBY". Radio and phonograph player in one. The records are inserted into the front via the trap door....PRETTY COOL! There are videos regarding this on Youtube.
Condition: The body is in great condition as seen in the pictures. It looks like it was refinished at one time in the past. The two tone wood body has some light scuff marks at most. No cracks in body at all. The front of the radio has a great classic look to it. It is 16" wide, 12" tall, and 15" deep. ALL ORIGINAL BAKELITE KNOBS. All knobs rotate as they should. The grill fabric is in decent shape with no major snags and no holes. Slight wear on dial screen. The cord is dried out and should probably be replaced before use. Not tested as a result of this. There is an older sticker on the front that states "works ok". Considering the cabinet condition, my guess is that this is a nicely working unit once the cord is replaced but I am selling as is.
These radios are highly collectable and are getting harder to find online.
It will be protected well and insured. I cannot ship this to a PO box if you are in Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones.
Let me know if you have questions.
