Additional Details ------------------------------ Product description: Jason Sellers grew up singing in his family's gospel group and brings a very powerful, soulful voice to his interpetation of country. He excels at ballad singing and six of the 11 tracks on A Matter of Time are exactly that sort of tune, the strongest of them being "What A Lover Is For" and "That's Not Her Picture" (an odd lyrical story).

The first single off this album is not a ballad, however, but the title track, a song with an easy groove that should make an impression on mainstream country radio. It's the uptempo tracks that have made this project an effort that supersedes his first album in every aspect. The rousing vibe of "This Thing Called Life," which tests Sellers' vocal range as well, a great duet with Pam Tillis covering the George Jones/Tammy Wynette song "Golden Ring" and "Everybody's Walking" are all substantial tracks that add stylistic breadth to Sellers' sophomore effort.

A Matter of Time was a Top 40 hit for country music artist Jason Sellers on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in 1999. Before embarking on his solo career, Jason has performed with Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs. Jason continues to work as a songwriter, with acts such as Mark Chestnutt, Jason Aldean, Reba McEntire, Wade Hayes, Lonestar, Kenny Chesney, and Montgomery Gentry having recorded his songs. Between 1991 and 1997, he was married to Lee Ann Womack.
