Plates are embossed and hand painted with multi-color flowers, and a man with a woman outdoors scene in the middle. All plates have a mark with crown, shield with tower and Germany written underneath. I am not an expert on such marks, but according to my online research, this mark has been used at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century (some say 1893-1903).
Very beautiful plates, but they show wear, especially to the gold rims (most of gold has rubbed off over the time). No chips, cracks or repairs. One of the plates has holes on the base rim for hanging and a dark spot close to it (shown in photo # 9), that seems to be like an old chip.
