This is a 1979 Monarch Horizon crewel kit, #PT24, designed by Roger W. Reinardy. This kit includes printed cotton canvas and wool yarn. There is NO frame or mat included. The picture is a country scene of a hand pump and bucket near a farmhouse.
BACKGROUND: When I was a teenager and young adult, I did lots of needlework. This kit is one of the few crewel kits I purchased.
After my first child was born in 1975, I had no time for needlework, but I kept my supplies. My daughter loves crafts but has a busy career and family, so I've finally faced the fact that no one in our family will put my kits and canvases to use and decided to list them . They date to 1965 - 1979 and were relatively expensive at the time I purchased them.
CONDITION: This kit is sealed and has never been exposed to smoke or other contaminants. It has been properly stored for the past 35 - 45 years and is clean and free of damage.
SIZE: According to the package, the finished picture size is 5" by 7".
