This is a vintage goldtone bracelet with a swirled twin cage dice charm attached. The chain measures approximately 8 inches in length. The charm is 2 inches long and just under 1 ½ inches wide. The charm consists of two dangling cages with a single miniature loose dice in each cage. The cages are attached to piece that reminds me of the old scales. I can't tell for sure, but the dice look like they could be made from Bakelite or Celluloid. If you don't want to wear the dice on the bracelet, you could remove the dice charm and use it as a pendant on a necklace. This belonged to my Mom and was most likely from the 1940s to 1950s.
This is in good vintage condition. there are areas on the chain where the gold finish has worn off as you can see in the enlarged pictures, but it has given the bracelet a wonderful old patina that only comes from years of wear. I think it adds to the appeal and the appearance of the bracelet. There is also some verdigris or tarnish on the cage around the dice (mostly on the inside). It is not an unused mint collector's piece, it is a piece of jewelry you can enjoy wearing.
If you are into Gaming or Gambling this would be a fun bracelet to wear the next time you go to the Casino, maybe it would bring you luck and it is certainly a great conversation starter! What a great gift this would make for your favorite Gambler. It would be perfect with that little black dress or your favorite pair of jeans, it gives you that great chunky funky look!
