The book is in very good condition, particularly considering its age. There are some light stains and scuffs on the cover. There are some hand written notations within the book. The spine and binding are holding well, although loosening, and all 706 pages are intact and in good condition. This is a first edition, although I am unsure if it is a first printing, although I believe that it is. It has a copyright date of 1938, and was published by The MacMillan Company. It is a very nice collection of shorts from some of America's classic literature.
