Description

Offered here is this Amazing Eastlake Style Antique Rocking Chair. The wood grain on this piece alone is fantastic. It has a beautiful inlaid top detail and exquisite carving. The upholstery is in need of a good cleaning and several of the little accent buttons are missing. The chair back at the top is split, separated, and needs to be repaired. The chair is otherwise in very good condition with just light surface scratches on it.  it is a good, sturdy chair, especially for its age. The chair dates to the late 1800s. I'm unsure of its maker.  It is 37.5" tall at most, curving down to 34.5" tall at the side posts at the back.  It is 15" high at the seat, 20" across the arms, 17.75" wide inside the arms across the seat, 19" deep at the seat, and 26.5" deep at the base feet. It is a fabulous 19th century rocking chair with exquisite details and would make a wonderful addition to anyone's antique furniture collection, as well as being sturdy.  It could be usable with only some light repairs.
