Offered here is this nice antique salvaged figural walrus trim piece. I am unsure of it’s exact age or origins. It is made of solid wood that is possibly oak. I am unsure of exactly what the animal depicted is, however, it looks like a walrus to me. It is in good condition, with no breaks or splits. There are some staple remnants on the back as well as some glue remnant. I do not know what type of furniture that it came from. It has some darkening discoloration on the front from general handling, and there is some wear to the urethane finish on the face as well. There are some light surface scratches and scuffs to the finish as well. The piece is 12.75” long, 2.25” front to back at most, and 1.25” wide. It is a fascinating, hand carved antique accent detail. It would be a beautiful addition to many different carpentry projects.
