Description

Offered here is this fabulous antique Masons jar quart size. The patent is 1858 and the jar is in very good condition with no chips or cracks, however, it is turning purple, and does have some flea bites in the top rim. The jar is Mason's brand and is a quart-size jar with the original sealing screw on cap. The cap is also in very good condition and is most likely made of zinc, or possibly brass. It has the original seal inside which says genuine porcelain lined cap, Boyd's. The jar is 7" tall at the top of the cap, is 6.5" deep, 2.5" in diameter at the opening, and 3.5" diameter in total. It is a fabulous quart size canning jar in excellent condition and would make a wonderful addition to any antique glass collection.
