You are bidding on this nice hard gold leafed cover edition of The World’s Great Adventure Stories, Volume 1. It has a copyright date of 1929 on it, and is a first edition but I am unsure if it is a first printing. It was published by Walter J. Black, Inc. It is in good condition, especially for its age. There is some wear along the edges and at the corners of the cover, and the outer spine is faded, and is tearing along the edges as well. The binding is good, and all 676 pages are intact and in good condition, although there are some hand written comments in a few places in the book. This volume includes the following stories; Siege of Berlin/Alphonse Daudet, The White Wolf/Guy de Maupassant, Honor of Von Bulow/Alexandre Dumas, Wreck of the Copeland/H. Rider Haggard, The Marseillaise/Leonid Andreyev, Love in A Pool/Theophile Gautier, King Of The Jungle/D. de Pereyra, A Passion In The Dessert/Honore de Balzac, Sire De Maletroit’s Door/Robert Louis Stevenson, Capture of The Guerriere/Gunner M.
