It is a fourth edition with a copyright date of 1955, third printing dated 1957. It was published by The Macmillan Company. It is in very good condition, especially for its age. There is some light wear at the corners and edges, and some light scuffs and stains on the cover but the spine and binding are good, although the binding is beginning to loosen, and all 975 pages are intact and in good condition.
