Joseph Vance: An Ill-Written Autobiography

by William De Morgan

Henry Holt & Co., First U.S. Edition, 1906

Condition: Very Good+

William De Morgan (1839-1917) was a noted English potter and title designer, who late in life began writing novels, at which he was even more successful.  This was his first book, published in 1906 (this is the first edition), but written in Victorian style.  528 pages, plus a piece of bonus ephemera laid in: a small 8-page leaflet of Holt book ads. One bumped cover corner, a bit more mild exterior wear, a number of mostly light page corner creases, a few other slight interior flaws.  Hinges are intact and the binding is secure -- unusual for such a thick, heavy old book.
