Description

Offered here is this wonderful antique Victorian Solid Brass Table Lamp with Opaque Glass Body and Marble Break.  I am of the exact age of the light but I certainly dates to the early 20th Century.  It is made of solid brass base, with amazing detail.  It is in very good, working condition, which is incredible given its age.  It has an embossed opaque glass body, with a pink colored coating flashed on the outside and the white embossed floral pattern showing through.  There is a tin trim piece with it, but it does not fit and is clearly not meant to go with this lamp.  It could be adjusted to be smaller, however, and would be a nice finish around the top rim of the glass, which has some flea bites and small chips around the top rim, but is in otherwise good condition with no cracks, or other chips.  The lamp has a satin glass bulb in it that is the shape of a lamp chimney. The bulb is burned out, so the lamp will need a new bulb.  The finial is a ball and claw type finial, but with a marble for the ball.  The entire lamp is 11.5" tall at the top rim of the glass, 23" tall at the finial, about 8" in diameter at the glass, and about 5.5" in diameter at the base.  It is an interesting lamp, with many great antique parts and seems that it would be a nice finishing project that is already beautiful and could be even more amazing.
