This book is not a complete listing of all deaths in Mifflin County.  Rather, it is a listing of obituaries that were published in local newspapers between the years 1822 and 1880.  Please bear in mind that some newspapers are missing and others may not appear due to human error.  A typical listing gives the name of the deceased, age in years, months, and days, near relatives such as wife or husband, place of death and date of death.  If an article appears, that will be noted.  Indexed.
