This is a highly collectable, special limited edition, limited production piece of contemporary American hand-made glass toothpick holder.
Made exclusively for the "National Toothpick Holder Collectors Society" Convention held in Marietta, Ohio, in August, 1991.
Designed by Robert Hall, Paid for by donations from Margaret Brenner, Mold and production made by Dalzell Viking.
A former member, Margaret Brenner, donated proceeds from the sale of her private collection to NTHCS with the stipulation that each member of NTHCS benefit from it.
Funds were used to create an Education fund.
Then they had a design contest and this Toothpick Holder was the end result of that.
Robert Hall won the design contest.
The Toothpick Holder was made and anyone who was a member at that time was given one.
It has been commonly called the "Brenner-Hall Toothpick Holder".
The Brenner-Hall Toothpick Holder has a scalloped top rim, Greek key border, three raised NTHCS medallions with emblems inside and the underside base "BRENNER HALL NTHCS 1991".
Measures: 2-3/8" tall x 1-3/4" top rim diameter x 2" body diameter x 1-1/2" base diameter.
Pristine Condition: No chips, cracks, fleabites, nicks, repairs, scratches or stains.
There may/may not be some tiny embedded bubbles and/or straw marks (creases) which is normal with glass from this era.
