Prior to Spring Break, Missy and her friend Anita are treated to an adventure at"Sun Rock Ranch" a working cattle and horse ranch specializing in "natural training" methods (Horse Whisperer).While there, the girls experience the birth of a brand new colt as well as trail riding in the over 2500 acres on the ranch itself.  Unfortunately for Missy, a gate is accidentally left unlocked and a small calf escapes, becoming lost in the thick brush and canyons that rim the acreage.  Taking her usual control of the situation, Missy convinces herself and Anita to venture out on their own to bring the calf back and leading to thier being lost themselves.  After being found by one of the ranch hands and spending what becomes an adventurous evening in the wild, Missy and Anita are aable to return the calf to its mother and bring home their experiences to their friends. Whatever the challenge, wherever the fun, Missy manages to make her own sense of where she and her circle are headed, and conjures up the moxy to stand firm in her right to embrace the aexperiences.When a girl has...Character, courage and a style all her own.....She can do anything!
