Tete de Beliye, or the Ram head mask, is one of the most popular Ivorian masks. The first President of Ivory Coast, Houpouet Boigny was called the Ram lovingly and this mask represents him in contemporary times. In ancient times, this mask was a symbolism of strength, stability and longevity of traditions and customs.
