Up for sale is this 1980's beautiful Rollin Karg Cobalt Blue & Clear Studio Art Glass Paperweight.

This rare glass piece glass piece measures approx 3" in height.

The paperweight is designed with a cobalt blue color control bubbles flanked by clear bubbles and is quite unique! Measures approx 3" in diameter, with a flat satin ground base.

Hand Signed on side 'Karg' by the artist as pictured. No chips or cracks.

Rollin Karg, is a renowned glass artisan from the Midwest. He designs and creates smaller paper weights and massive sculptural pieces from molten glass, usually shaped in a free form, asymmetrical manner. He has an amazing eye of utilizing dichroic colors – a color that transmits one color while reflecting another – which adds a unique dimension to his pieces. Karg prefers to use traditional techniques of glass making that are thousands of years old, he also adds his own inventive techniques to each project.. His work has been shown at galleries and exhibitions throughout most the United States.
