Carried while assigned in the South Pacific during WW II, this small dictionary shows it was purchased in 1943.  Inside the cover, the owner listed his personal information and the names of close friends he was serving with.  Binding is completely secure. There is some wear along the spine as see in the photo detail. The cover has the title on both sides. The book is inscribed Espiritu Santo, New Herbides Islands and dated over 75 years ago. 282 pp
