His eyes have been painted black. There is a bit of color on the pads of his hands and feet, belly and tie, and on the ball as well. That goldtone is darker and appears to have been painted slightly. This brooch measures 1 1/2" in length .

This piece of jewelry is in pre-owned and vintage used condition. The clasp is in full working order. The tint on the ball and bear is wearing. The eyes were not painted very neatly. There is scratching and finish wear present.
