Open Salt / Nut Dish Cup This is Fostoria Glass Company's #4020 Almond Nut Cup made 1931-1934. Line #4020 was designed by George Sakier who was responsible for many of Fostoria's lines. The dish has a strong deco design with a square base and a flared rim. Fostoria called this item anindividual almond nut cup. Many open salt collectors consider this cup as fitting the description of an open salt. When held up to a strong light, a vivid red ruby color can be be seen through the black glass.
