The Aquarium Balance Balls slowly biodegrade as the bacteria is needed to boost biological filtration. Preferably place the balls directly into your filter or alternatively add them to the aquarium itself, ideally in a small net bag. With regular use the added Sludge Control within Aqua Balance Aquarium will break down detritus and organic material within your tank helping to keep your aquarium, filter and pipework clean and free from sludge.
