From an estate sale of an Asian art collector, a flower and a bird shadow box. This piece is truly amazing. The entire piece is made of cut and sculpted bird's feathers. Even the beak, branches (the branches are especially amazing), flower petals and leaves. It is hand signed by the artist and has a red stamp. There are a few nicks to the dark cherry colored lacquer frame. Lower right corner of the frame is "open". White background have some stains. Blue colored wood have some hairline cracks.I have included photos for better description. However, no broken pieces of the collage itself. shadow box and the piece measures 9 3/4" x 7" x 1". There is a gold-colored wall hanging hardware. Back of the box has numbers 116-104 (not sure what's that represent). Overall condition could be "very good" considering its age. As with any antique and vintage pieces, I try to describe it to the best of my knowledge. However, I'm not an expert. So, you be the judge. Ask questions, see pictures. See my other listings as I have more shadow boxes from the same estate sale. |
