#35 in the Nancy Drew series.

Grosset and Dunlap. Copyright 1957. This is the sixth printing, printed in 1959, Farah-coded 1959D-6, evaluated in Farah's Guide (12th printing) as having a value of $56.00 when both the book and the dust jacket are in "very good" condition.

This #35 is the first book originally written as a 20-chapter text, and it never had a text revision/update.  It is also the first time Nancy's hair changes from "golden" to "titian" due to a dust jacket printing error.  For many books thereafter, Nancy's hair remains "titian" until the very late installments under other publishers who returned Nancy's hair to blond. (Nancy's friend Bess, who is supposed to be overweight but is never pictured as such, keeps her blond hair throughout the series.)

This is a blue tweed book in very good condition, with no writing/markings except the prior owner's name on the back of the front free endpaper. Clean page block, good spine, no ripped, loose or missing pages. There is a track forming at the front free endpaper, but it is firmly attached to the spine.

The dust jacket is very good overall, very color retentive, but does have minor damage at the spine ends, some corner wear and side fold wear. It is protected in mylar.

A neat book.
