Notes
With germanium or silicon point contact diode as UHF mixer. This converter has classic styling and it was one of the very first UHF converters. It was a very popular model. Converts US-UHF Channals 14-83 into US-VHF Channel 5 or 6, uses the Mallory Inductuner, OEM Production with Type/Brands: Arvin 3000, Alliance AC-80, Sylvania C33M, CBS-Columbia, Silvertone 6950 (Sears, Roebuck & Co.), Sparton, Mall-Ex, Crosley DU-UHFP, Sutco 23A.
In the same year under the same Type a 2 Tubes only chassis was manufactured! The later circuit also uses the 6AF4 oscillator and 1N72 or 1N82 mixer, followed by a 6CB6 IF amp, with a selenium rectifier stack for high voltage.
