For your consideration, here is a GTE General Telephone and Electronics Corporation Ceramic Ashtray. It is marked Albee, Los Angeles on the bottom. It dates to sometime before 1983, prior to the GTE merger. It has some wear on it, mostly on the bottom. No chips, crazing, cracks or discolorations. The ashtray has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches.
