For your consideration is a vintage Chicago Natural History Museum pamphlet/booklet entitled "Mummies"  This book was written with drawings by Richard A. Martin, curator, near eastern archaeology.  It has 43 pages that explain why mummies and how it was done, and adds pictures of actual mummies uncovered and explains them.  This is a great booklet for people interested in anthropology and/or archaeology.
