Hello,
This listing is for 40 clothespins and is specifically aimed at the United States, therefore the price is without Danish VAT. The 40 clothespins are sent from Denmark to the USA as a tracked registrered letter, which is about 10 working days in the mail. (Letter = a small cardboard box lined with bubble wrap, so the clothespins are well wrapped. The letter contains the necessary customs information in the correct form).
You do not pay duty, tax or import fees when the package of clothespins arrives in the United States. This only applies to packages with a value of over $ 800. Here is a link to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where the rules for Internet purchases are explained: https://www.cbp.gov/trade/basic-import-export/internet-purchases.
When the package is shipped from Denmark you receive a link to the USPS Tracking Service, where you can follow the package.
You can choose among the 14 colors they come in or you can choose the Assorted colors option in which case you will get some of each color. You can also (in the message field) let me know exactly which quantity you would like to have in each color (10 green, 10 blue, 10 magenta and 10 red for instance or any other combination of 40 pegs). Such a message overrides the colors you have chosen. So you can order, for example, 30 blue pegs and in the message field give notice of a color distribution.
Most clothespins are made of soft wood or plastic. The wood pegs rot and darken over time and may stain the laundry and the plastic pegs break down due to cold and sunshine. The springs are usually not made of stainless steel and therefore rust over time and the rust will stain the laundry. In addition, the pegs are twisted in use and fall apart as time goes by. There is more focus on price than on quality and long-term durability. The Omega clothespins from Popotamus are completely different. They may well be the last clothespins that you'll need to buy and the annoying weaknesses that ordinary clothes pegs have is a thing of the past with the Omega pegs.
The Omega clothespins are manufactured for my company Popotamus by a metal work in Northern Italy and powder coated by an industrial painter in the same area.
They don't rust.
They don't rot.
They don't break.
They don't twist and they don't fall apart.
Heat and cold-resistant (can also be used as bag closers in the freezer for example).
Do not stain the laundry due to rot or rusty springs.
The pegs have a strong spring, so that they'll stay on the clothesline even during stormy weather. The pegs also grip much better on thicker objects, such as a lined winter jacket, a robust bathrobe or the bathroom mat.
The pegs are not suitable for people with arthritis in their fingers, for whom the spring is too strong.
Saltwater resistant. Suitable for sailing yachts.
A 20-year warranty for normal use, ie. as clothespins or e.g. as bag closers in a deep freezer and other similar types of use.
Can withstand being stored outside all year round.
The pegs are also available in a powder coated version in 14 different colors. The paint resembles the paint used in the automotive industry. The lacquered pegs fade over time in the same way as a car loses its colour, especially if the pegs are stored outside all year round, but the lacquer does not peel off.
The spring is also made from the same grade of stainless steel. The pegs do not rust or rot (and do not stain the laundry). They are not degraded by either sunlight or sub zero temperatures, i.e. they do not become brittle over time and break. They can withstand exposure to salt impact in coastal areas for many, many years.
And the spring is a lot stronger than the one in ordinary clothespins, so the clothes will remain on the clothesline, no matter how windy it is.
If the pegs becomes dirty from airborn dirt of if you drop them on the ground just wash them in water and they are clean and as good as new.
I sell the pegs with a 20 year warranty.

The pegs are 7,5 cm long and weighs 15 grams. The durability and construction of these pegs are outstanding. The will probably last much longer than the 20 year warranty indicates. You could consider including them in your will, so the coming generations can inherit them.
