Empty case.   not an expert reference the pictures.  I do not know much about this other then I got it at an estate sale in Cassville Wisconsin from a daughter of a former dentist with other vintage pieces.   Look at the pictures as a reference as they are part of the description and ask any questions.  Box seems in good shape for its age.
