CAB Comment––First copyrighted and published back in 1928, Sax Rohmer’s “The Mask Of Fu Manchu” remains one of his best in the series. This particular edition is extra special––in my humble opinion––because it is a 1953 Crime Club edition celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the original novel. The book is doing double-duty in the vintage Uber-Cool Department! I love the mid-century dust jacket art, as well. And what a great title page, with red ink touting “Crime Club Classic” and the name of Sax Rohmer. If no one ever buys this one I won’t be sad, I want it for my own Fu Manchu collection. In the meantime, I’ll be keeping my eye out for another copy in such excellent condition.
“The Mask Of Fu Manchu”––Amazon Synopsis:
“After discovering the tomb of El Mokanna - the Veiled Prophet - and retrieving the precious relics buried there, the eminent archaeologist Sir Lionel Barton blows up the tomb. The heretic sect faithful to Mokanna interpret the fireball as their prophet's second coming, and a violent uprising begins. Meanwhile, the insidious Dr. Fu-Manchu senses an opportunity to use the powerful relics for his own evil ends. The action stretches from Persia to Cairo, then back to London, including an extraordinary confrontation inside of the Great Pyramid. Along the way his opponents face Ogboni killers, mind-control drugs, dervishes, and a ‘ghost mosque’.”

BOOK PHOTOS: All book pictures are taken in bright white LED photo light, and thus brightness, contrast, and colors of books may appear more intense in photos than in person in the warmer incandescent lamp light of your home. In simpler terms, your new vintage books will fit right in with your cozy abode.
Please remember: All books offered by Texas PO?trope are in need of a loving new home, and (other than C.A. Broadstone autographed works) have had previous owners, resulting in relative wear. Thus, some books possess more interesting scars telling of their journey through the world, and life, than others. Please study book pictures closely to be sure the book(s) shown are for you. Every book with a dust jacket has been carefully placed in a BroDart protective archival cover. All sales are final.
