The image features a dramatic exterior nighttime shot at the ruins of an old stone building in the desert as young Ahmed (Rudolph Valentino), having been attacked by bandits, is bound by his wrists to the iron grate in the window above him. Ghabah (Montagu Love) has just whipped Valentino with the item in his hand while two other bandits and AndrĂ© (George Fawcett) watch the altercation. Valentino's shirt is unbuttoned and his chest and abdomen are exposed. It is in fine- condition with some creases and signs of wear in the borders and a few very small creases in the image area which are all unobtrusive. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the image quality is razor-sharp with very fine detail and beautiful contrast.
