Vintage Fisher Price Little People #952 Tudor House Playset COMPLETE/NR MINT with ORIGINAL BOX! (MORE PHOTOS BELOW) click picture to enlarge

Are you looking for a "forever" home?  Here's one that is definitely "not a drive by!"  Come and see Fisher Price's Little People #952 Tudor House that is 100% COMPLETE and comes replete with its original box. Everything is in "move-in" condition (NEAR MINT). Manufactured somewhere between 1980-1986, this particular version featured a masonite base instead of a green plastic base. I have configured this set to reflect the accessories associated with the 1980 production run (www.thisoldtoy.com).

The EXTERIOR house lithos are generally bright and shiny---even the white portions of the lithos are OUTSTANDING (NEAR MINT-MINT)! Most of them are SMOOTHLY and FIRMLY adhered to the house and its masonite base. After repeated scrutiny, I can only find the following aberrations on the EXTERIOR lithos:

1. One, 1/4" L x 1/16" W rub under the left hand window on the second floor on the front of the house and some light soiling around that same window; I believe these will come off during a careful cleaning;

2. One, 3/8" L x 1/8" W rub on the edge of the house litho next to the garage; this rub is invisible when the two halves of the house are closed;

3. Some faint water stains on the grassy area next to the garage and driveway; the most prominent one is adjacent to the driveway; I doubt that the other ones even show up in my photos; and

4. Approximately 6 small bubbles on the litho on the end of the garage; I literally just discoverd these after tipping this base every which way in the light; I hadn't even noticed them before this; one bubble is on the blue window, two others are on the left hand margin of the litho and the remaining are just above and adjacent to the tall shrub.

Believe me, I'm being "super nit-picky" in describing these flaws. With the exception of the faint stain next to the garage driveway, all of them are barely evident. I have gone over this base with "a fine tooth comb." I do NOT see any marks, tears, creases, fading etc. on any of the other EXTERIOR lithos.

The INTERIOR wall, floor, and garage lithos are PERFECT (MINT)! You won't find a better set of EXTERIOR and INTERIOR lithos on one of these bases unless you buy a set BRAND NEW IN BOX! 

The plastic roof, hinges, garage door, front door, and door bell are all intact and functional. The plastic surfaces are SUPERB! Specifically, they are free of any gouges, chips, breaks, or cracks. On close inspection, I can ONLY see the following imperfections:

1. A couple of small, leached out spots on the chimney; this is often see on these blue chimneys; I don't know why they're there but it's not unusual to see these;

2. Two "dings" ---one is located on the front of the house (e.g. on the right edge of the dormer located on the far right on the second floor) and the other is positioned on the edge of the main roof at the rear of the house (e.g. to the right of the dormer on the back of the house). Someone has CHERISHED this TUDOR HOUSE. In my opinion, the plastic surfaces are in NEAR MINT-MINT condition.

All four corners of the masonite base are intact and free of any layering, smushing, cracking or breaking. If you turn the base upside down, you can see some scratches and the remnants of some white spots. Naturally, these are not apparent while the House is on display or during play.

This AMAZING house comes furnished with the following accessories:

1 RARE queen size yellow bed with @ 75% of its original foam (EXC-EXC++--some indentations on the original foam; as some collectors highly value this original foam, I will not be removing it);

2 RARE twin size yellow beds with @90- 95% of their original foam (EXC++-NEAR MINT; I should note that the foam on these beds is a different tint than the queen size bed; I don't know if someone replaced the foam on one of them at some time; the other looks like it is original but has aged at a different rate than the foam on the queen size bed; once again, in deference to the collectors out there, I will NOT be removing this foam prior to shipping the set to the new owner);

4 VHTF lime green captain's chairs with triangle on back (VG+-VG++--some light wear on the front of the chairs' seats; there is also some light wear on the back and bottom edges of these chairs;

1 RARE lime green table (EXC++--light surface scratches and some edge wear around the lower edge of the table top);

2 HTF bright orange overstuffed chairs (NEAR MINT-MINT--small amount of wear on the back lower edge of one of the chairs; this wear is about the width of a human hair; the rest of the piece is MINT);

1 RARE orange coffee table (EXC++-NEAR MINT--light surface scratches);

1 HTF white/green two seater car with side -by -side seats, fins, and luggage rack behind the seat (MINTY MINT--NOTE: This car did NOT come with Fisher Price written on the wheels); and

5 ALL plastic figures. These include:

1 blue bodied girl with rust sculpted hair (NEAR MINT---slight roughness along lower edge of hair; not chews);

1 HTF orange bodied boy with red heat stamped hair (MINTY MINT);

1 tall, blue bodied Mom with blonde pony (NEAR MINT-MINT);

1 tall, green bodied Dad with heat stamped hair (MINTY MINT); and

1 black bodied, "Snoopy" dog with red collr and links (MINT--NOTE: the dog for this set was called "Snoopy" instead of "Lucky" which was the name of the dog for later sets.

FYI: While the original #952 Yellow House included a staircase, Fisher Price omitted the staircase to this set commencing with the 1980 production run. As a result, this offering does NOT include the staircase.

The playset comes replete with its original box. This box is in remarkable shape for its age and possesses all of its original flaps. Noted imperfections include: some creasing, a 2" tear on one of the flaps where it conjoins with the box, some scratches, some bowing, some missing outer white cardboard on the bottom of the box, the remnants of the original price tag, some edgewear, and some smushing of the corners of the box.  There are also some black stains on the interior of the box along with some possible water stains. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being perfect, I would rate this box as being a 7.5-8.0/10.0. It still displays well and provides an accurate representation of the contents of this set.

This is a GREAT, durable set. I will be thoroughly Q-tip cleaning this play base and all of its accessories prior to sending it to its new owners. I spend a MINIMUM of 1 - 1 1/2 hours cleaning each and every VINTAGE Fisher Price play set I sell. I utilize a variety of cleaning products (e.g. Dawn, Goo Gone, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Soft Scrub, Comet, Naval Jelly, Armor All wipes etc.) along with a child's toothbrush, Q-tips, and toothpicks. My play sets are IMMACULATE!

They don't make open-ended, durable play sets like this any more. Don't miss out on this one!!!

This set would make a FANTASTIC addition to someone's Fisher Price collection or for some special child to receive. What a RIVETING toy to have at Grandma's house for when the grandkids come to visit!!!!

This would also be an AWESOME toy for a Child Life Specialist, Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, or Child Psychologist to use with their clients.

REMEMBER, this VINTAGE Fisher Price play set is NOT included in the recent Fisher Price recall of toys manufactured in China. This playset was manufactured in the good ole' U.S.A. in 1980!!! It's 32 years young and still exemplifies Fisher Price's reputation for imaginative, durable toys.

Purchasers should refrain from allowing children under 3 years of age to play with these toys without adult supervision or to offer these toys to children who may be still mouthing their toys.

I’ve been finding Fed Ex has been running @33% cheaper than the USPS (including Parcel Post) and UPS Ground. FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.

In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.

Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required.
