This is a brightly multi-colored handmade mini Ocarina from Peru. The Ocarina is a traditional flute or whistle wind instrument that produces a whistle-like sound. It is hand crafted by Peruvian artisans out of clay and then hand painted with a colorful design. This Ocarina is strung on a black cord to make a stunning necklace that is sure to be an eye catcher. The colors are perfect for Spring and Summer.

The base is a bright canary yellow with a black star or sun shape on the front. It has a very ethnic or Aztec type design as the center with metallic like paints in shades of turquoise, gold, red, copper, blue, purple. The back is the natural adobe clay color.

It is in excellent used condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It has 6 finger holes on the front and 2 thumb holes on the back. At the top is the mouthpiece. It measures approximately 2 inches in diameter. I don't know if this actually will play a tune, it certainly makes a sound. There is a little bit of paint on the back (see close up).
