Antique Real Photo Postcard, circa 1930s. Identified as a market scene in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Photo No. 70. Divided back, Gevaert photo paper, unused. Condition: This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It is in excellent condition. Comments: Cuernavaca is the lush capital of Mexicos Morelos state, cradled by the Tepozteco Mountains south of Mexico City. The colonial city center features the 16th-century Palace of Corts, former home of Spanish conqueror Hernn Corts and now a history museum with murals by Mexican artist Diego Rivera. Just southwest is Cuernavaca Cathedral, in a 1500s walled monastery complex with a mural depicting Mexicos first saint.
