Vintage 8x10 in. U.S. single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photograph printed at the time it was taken) from the classic silent film horror drama/romance, THE UNKNOWN, released in 1927 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and directed by Tod Browning. A criminal on the run (Lon Chaney) hides in a circus and seeks to possess the beautiful daughter (Joan Crawford) of the ringmaster at any cost.

The image features a very close interior shot of Alonzo (Lon Chaney), an armless knife-thrower in a circus, and his co-conspirator, Cojo (John George), both wearing their circus costumes as they look at someone off-camera. Printed most likely in the 1950's, this vintage copy photograph is in very fine+ condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws. The image quality is sharp with good detail and nice contrast.
