On DVD or VHS: Picture above shows A. P. INDY victorious in the 1992 Breeders' Cup Classic

Complete televised broadcast of the entire 1992 BREEDERS' CUP - MINUS all commercials from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, Florida.

If you love great performances, you won't want to meet this one, which features the breaking of two track records, three Breeders' Cup records and the tying of SUNDAY SILENCE's record for the fastest Breeders' Classic! It was a day of triumph, yet not without tragedy, as another horse (MR. BROOKS) broke a leg, fell and had to be put down.

1) SPRINT - Can anyone catch speedy filly MEAFARA? Trying to do so will be THIRTY SLEWS, RUBIANO, SALT LAKE, the ill-fated MR. BROOKS and SENOR SPEEDY, in a race run in 1:08:1, a new Breeders' Cup record!

2) JUVENILE FILLIES - The great ELIZA was visibly washed out during the post parade, causing jitters among her supporters. But nervousness and all, she still establishes a new Breeders' Cup record in 1:42:4, a faster time than even the Juvenile Colts would run! Beating EDUCATED RISK, ZOONAQUA, BOOTS N' JACKIE and BEAL STREET BLUES this easily, it makes you wonder how fast she might have run without washing out!

3) DISTAFF - A battle of top stars PASEANA, TREATY, MAGICAL MAIDEN, DEW, LITE LIGHT, European star MARLING and MEADOW STAR, trying to recapture her two year old magic.

4) MILE - ARAZI is another trying to recapture his two year old magic, but not if LURE, future Arlington Million winner PARADISE CREEK, BRIEF TRUCE, FOURSTARS ALLSTAR or SELKIRK have anything to say about it. No secret here - this is the one where LURE wins the first of back-to-back Breeders' Cup miles in the track record time of 1:32:4 - less than a second from DR. FAGER's world mile record!

5) JUVENILE COLTS - HERO takes on undefeated GILDED TIME, IT'SALILKNOWNFACT, RIVER SPECIAL, STROLLING ALONG and MOUNTAIN CAT.

6) TURF - talk about a star-studded field! All we have here is not one, but two Epson Derby winners (DR. DEVIOUS and QUEST FOR FAME), 1992 Arc de Triomphe winner , North American champ SKY CLASSIC, NAVARONE, yet to taste defeat on turf, FRAISE and speedball SOLAR SPLENDOR! With stars like this, you expect a cliffhanger and get one, with a long nose deciding this race, run in 2:24, a track and Breeders' Cup record!

7) CLASSIC - this is the race where 1992 Belmont winner A.P. INDY proves he's one of the best horses of the 1990's, whipping such competitors as PLEASANT TAP, JOLYPHA, 1991 Kentucky Derby winner STRIKE THE GOLD, SULTRY SONG, TWILIGHT AGENDA, TECHNOLOGY and JOLIE'S HALO in 2:00:1, tying SUNDAY SILENCE's Breeders' Cup Classic record!

Highlights include two wins apiece for EDDIE DELAHOUSAYE, PAT VALENZUELA and CHRIS McCARRON, and of course LURE's dazzling feat of running sizzling fractions, yet still lasting to easily wire his Mile foes. There is also PLEASANT TAP showing his versatility by becoming the first horse to run in four different Breeders' Cup races (the Juvenile, Turf, Sprint and Classic) in four years! Finally, you get reports on Europeans shipping in, the legend and enigma of ARAZI, and stories on horseman PAUL MELLON and emerging superstar KENT DESORMEAUX.
