100% Cotton cover, 100% camel wool fill. This all season washable wool comforter is made of organic camel wool encased in a super soft and luxurious cotton sateen. Colors: White (regular cotton) and Beige (GOTS certified organic cotton).
Sizes: Twin 66x88 in., Queen 90x90 in. and King 90x104 in.
Filling: 100% camel wool. No synthetic content. The camel wool comes from the two-humped Bactrian camels of Gobi desert (Mongolia). Camel wool comforters are super cozy because camel wool is lightweight (camel hair is hollow) yet warm. Camel wool is similar to alpaca wool, both species belong to the camelids family. Fill power: 400 gsm (11.8 Oz/sq yard). Total product weight: Twin is about 6 lb, Queen – about 7.5 lbs and King - about 9 lbs.
Temperature Regulating. Camel wool filled comforters help regulate body temperature and allow the skin to breathe. Recommended for those who experience night sweats or hot flashes. Camel hair regulate temperature under all thermal conditions. It makes a sleeper feel warmer in low temperatures and cooler in high temperatures. This is how Mongolian camels got adapted to extreme temperature fluctuations in the Gobi desert where the temperature ranges from 100 degrees in summer to minus 40 degrees in winter with snow atop dunes.
Moisture wicking. Wool absorbs liquid without feeling damp or losing its insulating properties. It wicks sweat keeping the skin dry and warm.
Hypoallergenic. Camel wool comforters are especially suitable for those who are allergic to polyester or other artificial fibers. The wool was sanitized with non-toxic detergent and is encased in a dense fabric that prevents shedding. Wool filled comforters are dust-mite resistant. Our comforters were not treated with fire retardant or other harsh chemicals.
Antibacterial. Wool is naturally antibacterial and wool filled comforters do not have to be washed as often.
Soft and light. Camel wool is more durable and lighter than sheep wool. Compared to goose down, wool comforters have no poking/flying feathers and the filling doesn’t shift like it does in feather filled comforters. Unlike polyester/down alternative items, wool comforters are antistatic (do not cling to the skin), lighter, temperature regulating, safer (wool is fire proof) and do not harbor dust mites. Manufacturing of wool comforters doesn’t involve killing or hurting of birds.
Eco-friendly & chemical free. Camel wool is truly organic wool because camels live in desserts where no synthetic hormones or synthetic pesticides can be found. Manufacturing of polyester/down alternative bedding releases air pollutants while wool is self-renewable resource that does not affect the environment. Moreover, wool is biodegradable and decomposes into natural fertilizer when disposed of at the end of the product’s useful life. Synthetics are full of chemicals and clutter landfills for many decades.
Packaging. The comforter comes with a reusable bag for easy carrying. The bag can also serve as a gift packaging.
No bad odor. No chemical, no animal odor.
Care. Machine washable, you can sleep with your bed wetting little ones in the same bed. However, wool comforters can be dried in a dryer. Air dry in the sun or a warm place by hanging or laying flat, can place towels underneath to soak up the water. Can be dry cleaned. Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Recommended to use with a duvet cover to keep it clean, protect from pet hair and extend the life of the comforter. It is easier to wash a duvet cover than a comforter. Heavy loads can damage your washer and big comforters usually take a long time to dry. Stains can be removed with soap and water.
