Joan Caulfield was born on June 1, 1922 in East Orange, New Jersey and died on June 18, 1991 in Los Angeles, California. A former fashion model, she was discovered by Broadway producers and began her stage career in 1943 which lead to her being signed by Paramount Pictures. One of her most memorable roles was in The Unsuspected, 1947, for Warner Bros. Later in life, she appeared mostly on television on programs such as Baretta and Murder, She Wrote.  Urban legend credits a movie marquee for Dear Ruth with her and Willam Holden’s names as having inspired J.D. Salinger to name the protagonist of his novel, Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield.

George Brown Petty IV (April 27, 1894 - July 21, 1975) was an American pin-up artist whose work primarily appeared in Esquire and True. Reproductions of his work were widely reproduced as nose art on B-17’s and other aircraft of WWII, including the Memphis Belle.
