Set of Five uncirculated banknotes from the Central Bank of Myanmar (formely Burma). The CBM was founded as "the Union Bank of Burma" on April 3, 1948.

Following the change of the country's name to Myanmar on June 20, 1989, new notes began to be issued  with more useful or practical denominations.

These are current series:

50 pyas: purple & orange, multicolor. Saung gauk - Guilloche pattern. Date of issue: March 27, 1994

1 Kyat: blue-purple. Chinthe - Boat-rowing at Kandawgyi Lake, Yangon. Date of issue: October 31, 1996

5 Kyat: brown & blue. Chinthe - Chinlone cane ball game. Date of issue: May 1, 1995

10 Kyat: purple. Chinthe - Karaweik (royal regalia boat). Date of Issue: May 1, 1995

20 Kyat: green. Chinthe - People's Park & Elephant Fountain, Yangon. Date of issue: March 27, 1994

The Kyat is the currency of Myanmar equal to 16.3 grams of silver.
