Bernard "Hap" Kliban (January 1, 1935 – August 12, 1990) was a well-known and popular cartoonist born in Norwalk, Connecticut.
In 1962, Kliban became a Playboy cartoonist, contributing cartoons until his death. He is best known for the book Cat, a collection of cartoons about cats drawn in Kliban's distinctive style.
The cat cartoons were discovered by Playboy editor Michelle Urry and the 1975 book Cat was born.
Since Cat, his cartoons have adorned many products including stickers, calendars, mugs, and t-shirts.

This endearing print is from a collection of Kliban's wildly popular 12-month 'fat cat' calendar illustrations -- spanning 1977 through 1981 (the year this collection was originally published).
This print is from a stated 'First Printing' Collection.
The CRISP, Clear, Black & White image is printed on white cardstock (with no hint of foxing or discoloration). This print has nice margins all around, making it suitable for matting and/or framing.
There is a single word and a small cat image printed on the reverse side, on the bottom left corner. The text and image are NOT visible through the front of the print.
This Kliban print would stunning in a charcoal black mat, which is (NOT included).
The print comes inside a (alkali free) clear sealed polythene bag and is sent in a hard backed, "please do not bend" envelope.
Actual image dimensions are approximately 22.8 x 17cm (9" x 6-3/4"). Actual page size dimensions approximately 26.7 x 21.5cm (10-1/2" x 8-1/2"). with a generous margin for framing.
