HELLO MY PRiM FRIENDS!
Thanks so much for Stoppin' by to take a Peek at 1 of my LATEST
KREATIONS! I just absolutely LOVE how this PRiM n' GRUBBY OLDE ST. NICK
SANTA HEAD CHRISTMAS WREATH turned out!!! It is FULL of CHRISTMAS
CHARM, and is definitely GRUNGY PRiM!!! The WREATH itself MEASURES 24"
in DIAMETER, and the SANTA HEAD MEASURES 14" HIGH x 14" WIDE. This is a
ONE-OF-A-KIND, HANDMADE PRiMiTiVe PIECE that I added MY OWN KREATIVE
TOUCHES to, but I do want to THANK "THE OLDE COUNTRY CUPBOARD" for this
WONDERFUL, PATTERN .
I started this Piece with a 24" EVERGREEN WREATH and then RUSTY WIRED
OLDE ST. NICK and the rest of the CHRISTMAS GOODIES onto the WREATH.
ST. NICK'S HEAD and SHOULDERS AREA are MADE of GRUNGY MUSLIN that from
the NECK down was COLORWASHED, BAKED, SANDED, and GRUNGED and BAKED
again. His EYEBROWS are MADE of COTTON QUILT BATTING, that have been
STUFFED, GRUNGED, and BAKED. His EYES are HANDSTITCHED using BLACK
EMBROIDERY FLOSS, he has a HAND PINCH-STITCHED NOSE, and his CHEEKS were
BLUSHED.
I HAND-FELTED LOTS of REAL, CREAMY WHITE, SHEEPS WOOL on for his HAIR,
MUSTACHE and VERY FULL BEARD.
ST. NICK'S HAT is MADE of MUSLIN that was COLORWASHED Barn Red, BAKED, SANDED,
and GRUNGED and BAKED again. His HAT'S TRIM is MADE from COTTON QUILT
BATTING, that was all HANDSTITCHED to the HAT along with a Large RUSTY BELL to
the TIP, and then HANDSTITCHED to ST. NICK'S HEAD. The HAT has been
ADORNED with GREEN MOSS, a PINECONE, and SPRINKLED with LOTS of
CINNAMON.
I Made 3, STARS out of MUSLIN which I HANDSTITCHED "JOY", "NOEL", and
"HO HO HO" on each of them using BLACK EMBROIDERY FLOSS. I also GRUNGED, BAKED,
and SANDED the STARS. I further EMBELLISHED the Wreath with some RED PIP BERRIES and
RUSTY STARS, and Sweet Annie that are just tucked into the WREATH, so they are Removable. I MADE a BANNER that READS:
"YULETIDE GREETINGS 1842" out of MUSLIN as well. The BANNER was also
RUSTY WIRED to the WREATH along with a RUSTY BELL at each END of it that has a Piece of DIRTY CHEESECLOTH TIED to each of them.
The WREATH also features LOTS of LARGE RUSTY BELLS that are RUSTY-WIRED to
some of the BRANCHES along with DIRTY CHEESECLOTH TIES. It has a CHRISTMAS TREE that's
MADE out of GREEN and BROWN FELT and ADORNED with RED TINSEL GARLAND, LITTLE TINY RUSTY BELLS WIRE, and DUSTED with LOTS of CINNAMON. The
WREATH also features a PAIR of HANDMADE CHENILLE CANDY CANES with a
BUNCH of RED BERRIES, and a RUSTY BELL that's been RUSTY-WIRED onto the
WREATH and DUSTED HEAVILY with GERMAN GLASS GLITTER, along with a LARGE
RED GLITTERED SANTA'S KEY that was also DUSTED with lots of GERMAN GLASS
GLITTER for LOADS of added SPARKLE.
This PIECE was TOPPED OFF with LOTS of MICA FLAKES SPRINKLED all over
the ENTIRE WREATH, and a STAINED HANGTAG that READS "JOLLY OLDE ST. NICK
~1842~" that has a HANGER MADE of BUTCHER'S CORD and is RUSTY-PINNED to ST. NICK.
This PIECE comes COMPLETE with a RUSTY WIRE HANGER on the BACK, for EASY
and SECURE HANGING. It will arrive SIGNED and DATED by me, on the BACK
of one of my very own "TRIPLECREEK PRIMITIVE KEEPSAKES" BRAND CARDS.
This PIECE is just so WONDERFULLY PRiM and PERFECT to DISPLAY all
throughout the HOLIDAY SEASON!!! I just KNOW that YOUR going to LOVE
IT!!!
This GRUNGY PRIM ST. NICK CHRISTMAS WREATH would make a CHARMING, ACCENT
