It consists of songs that didn't make it on the older records and a few alternative versions of old songs. Alvin Lee (born Graham Alvin Barnes, 19 December 1944 – 6 March 2013[1]) was an English rock guitarist and singer, best known as the lead guitarist and singer with the blues-rock/pop band Ten Years After. He and his band, Rocket fuel are best known from their days at WoodStock. Lee's performance at the Woodstock Festival was captured on film in the documentary of the event, and his 'lightning-fast' playing[5] helped catapult him to stardom.[6] Soon the band was playing arenas and stadiums around the globe. The film brought Lee's music to a worldwide audience, although he later lamented that he missed the lost freedom and spiritual dedication with his earlier public.[7] Lee was named "the Fastest guitarist in the West", and considered a precursor to shred-style playing that would develop in the 1980s All songs written by Alvin Lee, unless otherwise noted. 1."The Sounds" - 4:13 2."Rock Your Mama" - 3:02 3."Hold Me Tight" - 2:20 4."Standing at the Crossroads" (Elmore James, Robert Johnson)- 4:03 5."Portable People" - 2:15 6."Boogie On" - 14:31 7."Spider in My Web" - 7:19 (not in the original vinyl version) 8."Hear Me Calling" - 3:48 (not in the original vinyl version) 9."I'm Going Home" - 3:37 (not in the original vinyl version) Personnel [edit]Alvin Lee - guitar, vocals Chick Churchill - organ Ric Lee - drums Leo Lyons - bass
