Real Replica of a Greek stone casting of bust Marathon boy with verdigris patina effect from Athens national museum , Museum quality art Greek sculpture.
Found in 1925 in the sea off Marathon, Attica. The statue, smaller than life-size, probably depicts the young winner of a contest, as is suggested by the band on his head which ends in an upright leaf above the forehead. The object he held in his raised right hand is not preserved. It is also unclear what he held in his left hand, toward which he turns his head and gazes steadily. This hand was replaced, probably at a later period, by another with the palm worked in the form of a lamp. One of the masterpieces of the Late Classical period, associated with the school of Praxiteles.
Height 54 cm

The art work is made by resin and keramin, a plaster - polymer compound . Also is painted with verdigris patina effect.
We don't use alabaster ( or marble dust or magnesitis or sand ) which are VERY cheap materials with porous and poor quality.
All of our sculptures are high museum copies and not free designs that's why we mention from where copies come from.
Each piece is unique so the patina may have differences from item to item.
