This is an unusual ornate vintage watch fob with two Opal like gemstones (I don’t know if they are faux or real) and what appears to be an amber colored carved art glass cabochon. The fob measures approximately 2 ¼ inches tall (including the attachment) and 1 inch wide on one side and ¾ of an inch wide on the other. Originally this type of fob would have been worn on a watch chain to help the wearer retrieve their timepiece from the pocket in which the watch was kept. They were also popular as charms for a Chatelaine, but I have no idea of the age of this one. It will be lovely on a charm bracelet or on a necklace chain as a dangling pendant. It is a fairly heavy piece of jewelry and weighs .60 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 17 grams. The top clasp piece that would hook onto the watch is stamped “DM CO” for Daniel Manufacturing Company from Birmingham.  I don’t think it is original to the Fob as it is a slighty different color, it appears to be brass.

This Watch Fob Charm is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I have not polished it as many people prefer the patina that only comes with age. Depending on your own taste, I will leave any polishing up to you; you can keep it in the same condition with its original patina or polish it. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe. It is unmarked as to metal content and unsigned, it looks like it may have been gold plated over a silver tone metal which has faded over time.

This would be perfect to display your favorite watch with style.  It is decorative and functional. If you already have a fob charm bracelet, this would make an excellent addition.
