A Lucy Stone Mystery. Quaint Tinker's Cove, Maine has always been a peaceful, congenial town. But then developer Fred Stanton and his wife, Mimi, built five modular homes right next to Lucy's farmhouse and life changed. Mimi complains about everything creating a neighborhood atmosphere of nasty politics and backstabbing. Then Mimi doesn't show up for her shift at a fund-raiser bake sale and when Lucy goes to look for her, the smell of burnt sugar is overwhelming and Mimi is on the kitchen floor with a knife in her back.
